Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistants Wanted

We are working closely with a number of welcoming and well-supported primary schools across Cardiff who are looking for Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join their teams.
This is more than just a job, it’s an opportunity to play a key role in shaping young minds, supporting pupils’ development, and promoting the Welsh language in education.
The Role:
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need additional support
Encouraging the use of Welsh in and out of the classroom
Helping to create a positive, nurturing learning environment
Assisting with classroom preparation and daily activities
What We’re Looking For:
Fluent Welsh speaker (essential)
Experience working with children or in an educational setting (preferred but not essential)
A caring, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
