We have an exciting opportunity to m ake a real difference as a Peer/Ambassador Co-ordinator within our Newcastle Recovery Academy. Newcastle Recovery Academy is a 12-week structured community rehabilitation programme for adults (18) in Newcastle. The programme is based on 12 step principles, psychosocial interventions, relapse prevention, and recovery capital development. What Youll Do L ead, co-ordinate and support all elements of the services peer, ambassador and volunteers programme within Newcastle Recovery Academy. Support service users through the programme as well as develop opportunities for community inclusion and sustained recovery. P rovide supervision and support to V olunteers and Peer a mbassadors within Newcastle Recovery Academy. To Succeed in This Role, Youll Need: Experience of working within the drug and alcohol field Genuine interest in supporting people in Recovery Experience of providing supervision and support to volunteers or apprentices.
