Job Title : Debt Collection and Recovery Business Analyst Location : Knutsford (Fully On-Site) Salary/Rate : £300 Inside IR35 Start Date : 25/08/2025 - 31/12/2025 About the role : We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support and enhance the effectiveness of debt collection and recovery strategies for a leading financial institution. This role sits within the Collections Risk team, focusing on unsecured credit products, and will play a key part in driving analytical insight, regulatory compliance, and risk governance. Key Responsibilities : Analyse performance data to support the development and optimisation of credit risk strategies across Collections and Recoveries (C&R). Monitor and evaluate the performance of end-to-end minimum risk requirements, from pre-arrears to forbearance. Deliver independent second-line risk oversight for collection operations, ensuring alignment with Group Policies and regulatory standards. Support governance across Risk, Product, and Operations - attending key forums to ensure a strong risk framework is embedded. Assist in evaluating operational controls to ensure effectiveness and adherence to minimum risk requirements. Help identify and escalate emerging risks or issues to senior stakeholders. Provide oversight of operational capacity planning and its alignment with strategic objectives. Drive improvements in segmentation strategies and the design of remedial tools for customers in financial difficulty. Ensure appropriate reporting on forbearance and compliance with regulatory classifications. Key Skills & Experience : Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, particularly in collections, recoveries, or credit risk. Strong analytical skills with experience using data to influence strategic decisions. Solid understanding of unsecured credit products and associated customer treatment strategies. Familiarity with regulatory standards and governance frameworks (e.g., second line of defence). Experience working across Risk, Product, and Operations functions. Ability to challenge processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Comfortable working with large data sets and management information (MI) to derive insights.
