Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Warehouse Administrator to oversee daily warehouse operations and optimise supply chain processes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth communication across departments. Duties
* Manage category inventory levels through effective category management strategies.
* Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Utilise transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, stock levels, and order fulfilment.
* Coordinate with third‑party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise transportation routes and delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate records using ERP systems such as AS400 and other supply chain software.
* Analyse data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
* Assist with materials handling activities, including picking & packing orders efficiently.
* Supervise materials handling equipment operations, including forklift utilisation where applicable.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all warehouse activities.
* Support the implementation of process improvements to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Requirements
* Proven experience in warehouse administration or logistics management.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (including AS400), and transportation management systems (TMS).
* Familiarity with supply chain processes, materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics coordination.
* Experience working with 3PL providers and managing third‑party relationships.
* Excellent data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
* Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as forklifts is desirable but not essential; relevant training can be provided.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
* Good communication skills for liaising across departments and external partners.
