Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Doctor to join our Team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of acute mental health and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
* Daily visits to the units, ensure outstanding tasks are completed for allocated patients and provide medical cover for colleagues in their absence.
* Liaise with Nursing Team, address and identify deficits of care and treatment to promote wellbeing of the patient at all times.
* Re-writing of medication prescription charts and TTO's according to Hospital policy and standards, when required in consultation with the RC.
* Undertaking assessment of newly admitted patients including standard documents, full psychiatric history, physical examination, risk assessment and Drug allergy status.
* Liaise with family, carers and external professionals to gather collateral history required to plan the patients care.
* Complete physical health checks, request further health screening or testing where required, including referring to third party departments.
* Attend MDT meetings and daily monitoring meetings when allocated the assistance pager.
* Undertake weekly 1:1 reviews with allocated patients outside of the MDT.
* Complete clinical audit when requested.
* Other tasks requested by RC.
Personal Specification
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
* Good clinical care and medical practice
* Clear and effective communication with patients and relatives
* Good working relationships with colleagues and external departments
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Knowledge is up to date and fit to practice safely
* Applicant must meet professional health requirements in line with GMC standards in Good Medical Practice.
* Demonstrate acute care safety.
* Experienced in making clinical decision and managing risks.

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
