Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
* Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management and food safety compliance.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new recipes.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Assist with meal preparation for special events or large groups as required.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices to ensure hygiene standards are met.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities when needed.
