Electrical Installation Lecturer A
Wigan and Leigh College are looking to appoint a highly motivated and creative Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver full‑time and part‑time programmes. We currently offer both C&G and EAL qualifications within the department ranging from level 1 to level 3. For part‑time apprentices we deliver the NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems as part of the Electrical Installation apprenticeship framework, delivered jointly with the colleges Business Services department (assessing apprentices in the workplace).

Responsibilities
* Deliver teaching on Electrical Installation programmes for full‑time and part‑time students.
* Teach C&G, EAL (levels 1‑3) and NVQ Diploma (installing electrotechnical systems) courses.
* Work with employers and apprentices in the workplace and cooperate with the AM2 centre as a potential assessor.
* Prepare lesson plans and assessments in line with apprenticeship standards and curriculum.
* Support students’ progress and provide feedback in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Industry experience or newly qualified teacher with a passion for teaching Electrical Installation.
* Highly motivated, creative and willing to develop instructional skills for an inspiring, effective teaching style.
* JIB approval may be considered (if applying for AM2 assessors role).
* Must be authorised to work in the UK and subject to DBS and reference checks.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Attention all eligible FE teachers! You may be eligible to claim a levelling‑up premium payment for teaching courses in building and construction, chemistry, computing, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics. The payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on your provider and the number of hours you teach. If you are in your first five years of teaching in FE and spend at least half your hours teaching eligible FE courses at level 3 or below, you may be eligible.
