Overview
Rochdale Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a committed and experienced Social Worker to join the Post Order and Permanence Team. This specialist team provides essential support to families following court proceedings, with a strong focus on relationship-based practice. Under the guidance of an experienced and supportive manager, you will be part of a service recognised for going the extra mile for children and families.

Your Responsibilities
Manage complex cases involving Placement with Parents, Supervision Orders, and Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs) .
Provide intensive support to children and young people placed within their families post-court proceedings.
Contribute to the embedding of the Relational Practice Model throughout the team.
Collaborate with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure integrated, child-focused support plans.
Participate in service development and quality improvement activities across the team.
Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW or equivalent).
Current Social Work England registration .
Proven experience in children's services, preferably within permanence or post-order teams .
Strong understanding of safeguarding, permanence planning, and court-related social work.
Excellent communication, assessment, and case management skills.
