Overview
Junior Proposal Writer (EN) at Van Lanschot Kempen in the Presales & Content Management team. You will create high-quality responses to Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) and Proposals for clients, prospects and consultants, blending content creation, strategic thinking and project coordination. You will also maintain investment content for institutional clients, including RFP library content, presentations and consultant databases. This role supports the company growth strategy and involves tailoring communication of investment concepts to prospective clients in asset management.
Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality RFPs and Due Diligence Questionnaires under the guidance of experienced team members for prospect and existing clients.
* Maintain and improve standard materials for investment strategies (brochures, presentations), collaborating with Marketing and adhering to brand standards.
* Collaborate with senior RFP team members, portfolio managers and subject matter experts to improve RFP answers, clarify key messages, and present capabilities effectively.
* Lead automation efforts and AI adoption within the RFP process to improve efficiency and consistency.
Qualifications
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* 0-3 years of experience in the asset management industry.
* MSc in Finance or Business (or equivalent).
* Genuine interest in investing and curiosity about how the financial world operates.
* Good mastery of English, both verbal and written.
Location and Team
This role can be based either in London or Amsterdam. You will work independently and also as part of an international, multidisciplinary team across various projects, collaborating with Sales & Marketing, investment teams, fiduciary managers and other internal stakeholders (e.g., Risk & Compliance).
Compensation and Benefits
* Gross monthly salary between €3,600 and €4,500, commensurate with knowledge and experience.
* Flexible budget of 19.47% of gross salary (including 13th month, 8% holiday allowance, and 7 extra legal leave days); can be used for bike, gym membership, or sabbatical savings. Full budget can be paid out any time.
* 27 leave days, with 7 part of the flexible budget; sabbatical option of 3 months or longer with one month fully paid; commute allowance including green options (walking/biking).
* Working from home allowance.
