About You
This is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of the Council’s Pensions Service. As the strategic lead for pensions, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, compliant pension services and provide expert advice to employees, senior leaders, elected members, and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping and implementing pension policies across the organisation, ensuring they meet statutory requirements while supporting the Council’s broader objectives.
You’ll lead a skilled team managing all aspects of pension operations - from regulatory compliance and data reporting to handling complex cases such as ill-health retirements and dispute resolution. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will ensure the service remains efficient, forward-thinking, and responsive to changing legislative and organisational needs.
