We are looking for a Workshop Controller for our Aftersales Department at Simpsons Skoda Colne
Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday 8.00am to 5.30pm
Salary:
Basic £30K
OTE: £39,000

What You'll Be Doing:
* Leading and supervising daily workshop operations, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard and on time.
* Allocating jobs to technicians based on skills and priorities to maximise workshop productivity and efficiency.
* Coaching and developing team members to deliver outstanding customer service and technical excellence.
* Supporting technicians with complex diagnostics and repair work.
* Overseeing job card completion, quality checks, and ensuring accurate information for invoicing.
* Driving a culture of continuous improvement by identifying training needs, supporting apprentices, and maximising first-time fixes.
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional workshop environment.
* Acting as the key link between the service front-of-house team and the workshop, ensuring smooth communication and a seamless customer journey.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in a workshop supervisory or senior technician role.
* Strong technical knowledge with the confidence to support and coach others.
* Technician and MOT experience preferable but not essential – the right attitude and leadership skills matter most.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* A commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
* The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
