Special Needs Teaching Assistant (KS1 or KS2)

Temp-to-Perm Opportunity (up to 12 weeks)Via Reed Education

Reed Education is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded specialist primary setting in recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in a nurturing and well-resourced environment.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with special educational needs
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver engaging learning experiences
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
  • Contribute to behaviour management strategies and individual learning plans

This role is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, giving you the chance to experience the setting before securing a permanent position—typically within 12 weeks.
