Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Engineering Surveyor within the Surveying team. This role will be based on site in in Coventry. With 13km of rural high-speed line Sublot 2B extends north from Kenilworth, through Warwickshire, Balsall Common and Burton Green to the River Blythe. The strategy for Sublot 2B is to deliver the main structures enabling full connectivity across the two Network Rail corridor crossings – the Coventry to Leamington Spa Line and the West Coast Mainline at Carol Green – alongside supporting the mass haul of materials between sublots. Role description: Proficient with survey control establishment & post processing for site control throughout the Sublot. UAV drone flight missions & software processing activities. Topographical surveys for the DJV, as-built surveys, machine control measures & reporting, QA checks and provide support/mentor to Engineers & Assistant Surveyors. Experienced required: Candidates must have sound knowledge of surveying, understand best practises and methodologies. Understanding of Survey/Construction tolerances. An understanding of RICS regulations. Up to date with latest Trimble survey technologies. GNSS, Robotic Total Stations, Digital levels, Scanners. Competent with bespoke survey software such as N4ce, Trimble Business Centre (TBC) & AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Trimble Connect, Trimble SYNC, Propeller etc. Holds valid UAV certified pilot’s license and have good knowledge and experience undertaking flight missions. SMSTS or SSSTS certification. Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
