Mechanical Fitter – Precision Engineering & Automation

What You’ll Do:
* Assemble and fit mechanical components, systems, and sub-assemblies from technical drawings
* Perform precise alignment, adjustments, and fine-tuning of assemblies
* Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve mechanical challenges
* Check parts and assemblies for accuracy and quality compliance
* Safely use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment
* Assist with installation, commissioning, and on-site maintenance of machinery
* Keep your workspace organised, efficient, and safe
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician in manufacturing or automation
* Strong understanding of mechanical principles and assembly techniques
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
* Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
* Problem-solving mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
* Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, or automated systems (advantageous)
The starting rate is £17.50 per hour, raising to £18 once up to speed and able to meet the clients requirements.
