Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and dignity while delivering personalised care. This role requires a blend of patience, empathy, and practical skills to assist with daily living activities.
Start date: 30/08/2025, need to have up to date Care Certificates and DBS if not, we will do the DBS check and offer up to date training.
Duties
* Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
* Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
* Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health.
* Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
* Implement behaviour management strategies as needed for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's care.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in caregiving roles such as senior care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with patient care protocols in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is an advantage.
* Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial.
* Experience working with individuals suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia is preferred but not essential.
