As a Housing Services Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for tenants, leaseholders, and contractors, delivering high-quality advice and support across a range of housing issues. The team works collaboratively to ensure the community thrives and residents feel supported. Description Provide a courteous and informed advice service to tenants and leaseholders. Respond to housing enquiries via phone, email, and in person. Advise on Housing Benefit and other welfare entitlements. Administer garage lettings and report repairs to the local authority. Assist with estate inspections and monitor contractor performance. Support tenancy sign-ups, changes, and investigations into non-occupancy. Promote tenant participation and community engagement. Contribute to policy development and performance reporting.Profile A successful Housing Services Assistant should have: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housing management systems. Experience working with the public in a customer-facing role. A good general education (5 GCSEs or equivalent).
