Job Title: Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer
Location: Warton
Salary: £54,793+ depending on skills and experience
Job Description:
As a technical expert, you will develop the next generation of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems across the engineering lifecycle, from requirements to design, development, and implementation. You will provide technical leadership and expertise in developing EW Systems for the FCAS & GCAP Programme, including:
* Developing EW concepts to meet customer requirements for the FCAS/GCAP system with international partners (Japan & Italy)
* Serving as the primary Mission Systems point of contact for EW Systems within the programme, providing oversight and technical leadership to suppliers
* Liaising with international MoDs to advise on EW requirements development
* Executing plans and reviewing performance assessments of EW systems to support programme reviews
* Providing technical oversight to the development of EW requirements in MBSE tools
* Planning and overseeing supplier activities to develop EW systems to PDR/CDR maturity
* Design and development of EW systems, including Mission Data, Through Life Support, Safety-Airworthiness, Security, RF Interoperation, Electro-Magnetic Engineering & Test
* Planning and implementing EW System Integration, simulation, synthetics, and testing
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience with EW, DASS, and RF systems
* Leadership and management of engineering teams
* Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
* Systems engineering and lifecycle experience
* Knowledge of systems engineering tools (UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, Matlab)
* Experience in developing mission systems and domain knowledge
* Adaptability in evolving environments
* Innovative problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in multi-partner/multi-national environments
* UK driving license or working towards one
