Location: Havant | Start Date: September 2025 | Pay: From £ | Contract: Long Term / Permanent
Prospero Teaching is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH secondary school in Havant, and we’re on the lookout for kind-hearted, passionate Youth Development Mentors to join their supportive team.
This isn’t just a job-it’s a chance to be a lifeline for young people navigating emotional and behavioural challenges. You’ll be the person who listens, encourages, and helps them build confidence and resilience, both in and out of the classroom.

What You’ll Be Doing
5. Supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
6. Helping manage behaviour with empathy and consistency
7. Building strong, respectful relationships with students and staff
8. Encouraging personal growth, emotional regulation, and academic engagement
What We’re Looking For
9. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
10. Experience with SEMH / SEN or communication challenges is a bonus
11. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
12. A commitment to helping students succeed-no matter what
Requirements
13. Right to work in the UK
14. Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply)
15. Professional references covering the last 24 months
