A bit about the role

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, enthusiastic and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our highly reputable Property Team.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of all aspects of residential conveyancing. You will be required to deliver assistance and administrative support together with a flexible and positive approach to working in a busy and demanding growing firm as well as ensuring that the service levels we provide remain top-class.

Day to day responsibilities

* Communicating with clients over the telephone and face to face
* Providing quotes to prospective clients using our online quote tool
* File opening and proceeding with the initial stages of conveyancing transactions
* File closure
* Land Registry Direct system application forms
* Completing Local Authority, Chancel and other relevant pre-exchange searches
* Completing Stamp Duty Land Tax forms
* Post Completion procedures
* Working alongside the team to achieve monthly targets and KPIs

It goes without saying that as a Solicitors practice, we have high professional standards to meet, and we expect the highest ethical standard from all our team.

* Previous experience of working within a conveyancing department assisting in carrying out residential conveyancing transactions.
* New build experience would be useful, but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills – confident, clear and articulate
* A pleasant, friendly and welcoming telephone manner
* You take pride in what you do and provide the highest level of client service
* You monitor and maintain quality and productivity
* Experience supporting more than one Fee Earner
* Excellent IT skills
* Experience of using a case management system preferred (but not essential)
* The ability to work in an organised way and capable of multitasking
* A team player

Location and Working Hours

Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
