We seek an Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on enhancing the usability and functionality of the UW Cashback Card, making it an essential and rewarding tool for over 250,000 customers, with a focus on delivering high-quality mobile and web applications.

The Cashback Card Team (CBC) aims to make our prepaid cashback card indispensable, offering significant cashback opportunities with retail partners like M&S, Boots, Argos, Primark, and more.
We deliver progress. Your impact
As Engineering Manager, you will lead the Cashback Card engineering team, improving customer experience through new solutions. You will also contribute technically while focusing on team productivity, growth, and removing impediments, working closely with the Product lead to align on project scope and deliverables.
Key responsibilities:
* Engineering and technical: Contribute technically when needed, ensure quality standards, understand complex domains, and have knowledge of event-based microservice architectures.
* Delivery: Manage team workload, ensure quality and sustainability, and promote agile practices and continuous improvement.
* Leadership: Lead the technical roadmap, provide visibility of upcoming work, and develop engineers to the next level.
* Management: Establish effective team rhythms, run efficient meetings, coach team members, identify skill gaps, and manage team dynamics.
