Purchasing Coordinator - £30 - £33k D.O.E - North Liverpool - Permanent A well-established organisation based in North Liverpool is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Co-ordinator to join their team. The Purchasing Co-Ordinator supports the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services for engineering functions across the business. Duties: Procure parts, materials, equipment, and services in line with procurement policies and procedures Place and track purchase orders through to delivery, ensuring goods are received on time and to specification Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and negotiate to secure value for money and service reliability Support the development and monitoring of supplier KPIs, including service performance, cost control, and delivery Liaise closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions that reduce lead time and cost Address invoice discrepancies, delivery issues, and procurement queries quickly and effectively Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, stock control strategies, and supply chain optimisation Maintain accurate records using SAP and Excel, supporting reporting and audit compliance Uphold and champion high standards in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), including safe supplier practices Demonstrate a commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) by fostering a respectful, inclusive working culture Carry out any other duties that are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the role and where appropriately trained to do so Desirable: Prior experience in a purchasing or procurement environment, preferably supporting Engineering or Operations Good working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems Proficient Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data manipulation) Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work closely with internal clients Essential: Strong interpersonal and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to prioritise a varied workload Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
