About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils who require personalised support to access learning and thrive both academically and emotionally. You'll provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils develop communication skills, confidence, resilience and independence while creating a safe, nurturing environment where they can flourish.
Our pupils may present with:
1. Speech and sound disorders
2. Expressive language difficulties
3. Delayed understanding of language
4. Concentration challenges
5. Work avoidance behaviours
Key Responsibilities
6. Safeguard and promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all pupils
7. Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
8. Work in line with professional standards, statutory requirements and school policies
9. Support the day-to-day organisation and smooth running of the classroom
10. Take responsibility for agreed areas of work, reviewed annually through performance management
11. Contribute positively to the school’s continued development and improvement journey
12. Build positive, professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families
13. Undertake additional responsibilities as required
