We are seeking to appoint an exceptional, ambitious and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher & SENCo to join our dedicated leadership team at our welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Darlington.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and developing our SEND and inclusion provision while contributing strategically to the wider leadership and continued improvement of the school.
The Role:
As Assistant Headteacher & SENCo, you will:
* Lead and strategically develop SEND and inclusion across the school
* Ensure high-quality provision and support for students with additional needs
* Drive outstanding teaching and learning for all learners
* Work closely with staff, families, governors and external agencies
* Ensure statutory SEND responsibilities are fully met
* Contribute to whole-school leadership, improvement and culture
* Promote high expectations, achievement and wellbeing for every student
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with strong leadership skills
* Has experience of leading SEND provision within a secondary setting
* Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is willing to undertake it)
* Is passionate about inclusion and removing barriers to learning
* Has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
* Can inspire, motivate and support both staff and students
* Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
