Job Title: Sports Teaching Assistant

Salary: £84.85 - £90.00 Per day
Job Duties:
* Assist the sports teacher in delivering engaging and effective sports lessons
* Support students in developing their physical skills and understanding of sports
* Help maintain a safe and inclusive sports environment
* Provide one-on-one support to students who may require extra assistance
* Assist in organising sports events and tournaments
* Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students through sports
Required Qualifications:
* Experience working with children or young people in a sports setting
* Good understanding of behaviour management techniques
* Patience and empathy when working with students
Education:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Additional qualifications in sports coaching or education are advantageous
Experience:
* Prior experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong knowledge of sports and physical education principles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Safeguarding training
* Additional coaching qualifications
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily within a school sports facility
* Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend events
* May involve some physical activity and outdoor sports coaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
