*HGV Fitter - Full Time*
*Hours:* Monday–Friday | 6:45am – 5:15pm (10-hour day)
Overtime & weekend work required as needed
*Key Requirements (Essential):*
* Proven experience as an HGV fitter
* Strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Confident using diagnostic tools and equipment
* Able to work independently, prioritise tasks, and respond to breakdowns
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills and a team-focused approach
* Full driving licence (HGV licence and relevant certifications desirable)
* Flexible for overtime and emergency call-outs
*Role Overview:*
You will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of HGVs and plant machinery, ensuring all equipment is safe, compliant, and fully operational to support daily operations.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
* Diagnose faults and complete mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs
* Perform scheduled servicing (oil, brakes, filters, etc.)
* Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Work closely with team members and support apprentices/fitters’ mates
* Follow all health & safety procedures and company standards
