About Us
The post holder will work alongside internationally renowned King’s College London clinicians and scientists to evaluate novel interventions and medications in psychiatry, psychology, and neuroscience. With a background in epidemiology and medical statistics, the post holder will contribute to a better understanding of health outcomes, the exposures influencing them, and the mechanisms of therapies and therapeutics.
About The Role
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract until 30th April 2028.
The post holder will serve as a trial statistician, working closely with study teams to conduct, analyze, and report on randomized controlled trials and cohort studies.
Within King’s Clinical Trials Unit (KCTU), the mental health statistics group comprises 15 statisticians managing a portfolio of 40 to 50 clinical trials, collaborating with the mental health clinical trials methodology group.
Our mission focuses on meticulous methodological oversight of clinical trials in mental health and neuroscience, developing resilient trial designs, and collaborating with clinical colleagues across King's Health Partners and the UK clinical academic community.
We aim to increase capacity in clinical trial statisticians at the IoPPN while ensuring robust trial quality aligned with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

About You
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria
* Formal qualification in statistics or substantial statistical content
* Familiarity with statistical software such as STATA or R
* Understanding of epidemiology or medical statistics principles
* Competence in analyzing longitudinal experiments
* Experience or understanding of conducting clinical trials in a regulated industry
* Motivated and self-disciplined
Desirable Criteria
* Post-graduate degree in Biometry, Medical, or Applied Statistics
* Experience in conducting randomized controlled trials
* Peer-reviewed publications
* Experience as a technical expert in multidisciplinary teams
