Data Protection Officer – Scotland
Join a leading Scottish law firm as Data Protection Officer, acting as a trusted advisor for a diverse client portfolio. You will provide pragmatic, commercially focused data protection guidance while supporting the growth of a specialist privacy practice.
The Role
* Act as outsourced DPO for assigned clients, advising on GDPR, subject rights and data breaches
* Conduct gap analyses, deliver corrective action plans and draft policies, procedures and DPAs
* Provide client training and support the team’s development
* Collaborate with commercial, IT and risk specialists to deliver business-focused solutions
* Contribute to business development through thought leadership and cross-team activity
What You'll Offer
* Degree in Law (Preferred but not required)
* Around 4 years’ experience in senior privacy, DPO or information security roles
* Strong GDPR expertise with ability to translate complex regulation into practical advice
* Confident stakeholder management up to C‑Suite level
