Main duties of the job
* Medication Management:Assist in the management of repeat prescriptions, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Support the practice in maintaining an efficient and safe medication supply chain.
* Patient Support:Provide advice and support to patients regarding their medications, ensuring they understand their treatment plans and any potential side effects.
* Clinical Support:Work alongside GPs and other healthcare professionals to optimise medication use, including conducting medication reviews and supporting chronic disease management.
* Administrative Duties:Maintain accurate patient records, manage stock levels, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
* Quality Improvement:Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the practice's medication management processes.
* Education and Training:Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and participate in ongoing professional development.

Person Specification
Experience
* Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in general practice or community pharmacy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Qualifications
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
