We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a keen interest in customer service required for a busy timber merchant.
The Sales Assistant will deliver exceptional customer service face-to-face, over the phone and via email. The Sales Assistant will also deal with quoting, converting quotes to orders, processing orders, organising delivery schedules, dealing with customer enquiries and assist in the continued development of the shop. The role requires maintaining a good relationship with existing customers and developing new customers.
Basic Job Requirements:
Excellent customer and communication skills.
Confident handling phone calls and emails.
Processing quotes and orders and follow up where necessary.
Keeping displays well organised and regularly refreshed.
Advising customers with product selection and upselling.
Negotiate customer pricing.
Check incoming deliveries against delivery notes and refilling the shop.
IT and number Literate.
Good administration and organisation skills.
Opportunity to learn further areas of the business based on performance.
Sales or Customer Service experience desirable
Some Timber or merchant experience desirable, but not required
Assisting with Social Media posting and marketing
hours per week (negotiable)
Monday – Friday 07:30-17:00
Some Saturdays on rota (08:00-12:00) .
