Duties and responsibilities cover a whole spectrum of delivery outputs including:
* General Accounts Support (Sales/Purchase Ledger, Reconciliation, Expenses)
* Financial Reporting and Analysis
* Credit Control
* Order Processing
* Procurement Support
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience across key competencies including:
* ‘A’ level standard (or equivalent) of education including Maths and English to GCSE level or above
* Accounting training to the level of AAT (or studying towards) or equivalent level of practical experience
* Experience in a finance-based environment, ideally within an academic setting
* Experience of working in a team, in a busy and demanding office environment
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on the telephone, in writing and in person, across all levels of staff
* Experience of providing financial advice to non-financial staff
* Highly competent in standard software packages, particularly Excel – ability to create, maintain and manipulate data
* Experience of using relevant financial reporting tools
* High level of accuracy, attention to detail and clarity in presentation
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Ability to use own initiative and judgement and to be pro-active
* Excellent time management and ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload to meet deadlines
