This role involves working with students in an Adaptive Self-Contained Classroom, supporting their diverse learning needs from August 2025 to June 2026.
Location: Arlington, VA
Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
* Collaborate with instructional assistants and other staff to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
* Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development and progress.
* Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications:
* Active Virginia Teaching License or eligible.
* Previous experience teaching in an Adaptive Self-Contained Classroom.
* Strong understanding of special education regulations and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and families effectively.
* Ability to manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
