This role is for an experience credit controller to work within the credit control team to ensure targets for cash collection and aged debt are maintained. Working from an assigned ledger you will be responsible for identifying and resolving the sources of issues (whether internal or external) This person will therefore need to be comfortable communicating with clients as well as our operational teams and escalating to the credit manager or senior leaders at Claims Consortium Group.
Where: Office based at Taunton, TA1
When: Monday - Friday, hours per week, hours per day with a 1 hour lunch break
Salary: £24,500 - £26,500 DOE
What will you be doing:
1. Build and maintain relationships with Key stakeholders
2. Monitor and report on aged debt and ensure levels kept within tolerances and to escalate when required
3. Responsibility for updating and sending client specific debt packs
4. Achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
5. Managing the collection of all debts in accordance with agreed credit terms
What we need from you:
6. Strong negotiation skills
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including willingness to speak to clients regularly and make client calls
8. Proficient and confident in maintaining spreadsheets and using excel functions including formulas, Vlookup & pivot tables
9. Experience in credit controlling B2B and B2C debt
10. Insurance knowledge advantageous but not essential
