Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent

A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join its team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs within a supportive and forward-thinking school community.

About the Role

You will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access the curriculum—either within a dedicated class or in-class support role across multiple year groups. Your teaching will be tailored, creative, and responsive to the needs of individual learners, helping them to build confidence, independence, and meaningful progress.

Key responsibilities include:

*

Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with both curriculum goals and pupils’ individual needs

*

Supporting pupils with SEND, including those with EHCPs, through targeted strategies and interventions

*

Collaborating with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and external professionals to implement effective support plans

*

Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, adjusting approaches as necessary

*

Promoting an inclusive, positive, and respectful learning environment for all

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will be a nurturing and proactive educator who is committed to helping every child achieve their potential.

Essential requirements:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

*

Proven experience working with primary-aged pupils with special educational needs

*

A strong understanding of SEND practices, including the use of EHCPs, personalised learning plans, and inclusive classroom strategies

*

Effective behaviour management and communication skills

*

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies

*

A reflective, resilient approach and a commitment to professional growth

What the School Offers

*

A warm, inclusive ethos that celebrates every child’s individuality

*

A dedicated SEN leadership team and access to specialist support

*

High-quality CPD and training focused on inclusive practice and SEND

*

A collaborative, experienced staff team

*

A strong emphasis on wellbeing, both for pupils and staff

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or confident SEN practitioner looking to take the next step in a supportive Manchester school.

Apply now to make a meaningful impact in a school where inclusion is more than a value—it’s a commitment
