Fixed term, term-time
Bank role - hours flexible
Salary: Grade 3 BAR £28,784 - £30,189 per annum pro rata (Starting salary commences at £28,784)
Location: City and/or Riverside
We are looking for dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join the Student Experience Directorate and become part of our Education Support Worker Team.
As an ESW you will support individual students or small groups within the learning environment and offer support with notetaking, reading, scribing and practical support to students with a disability or additional support need.
You will work as a team to support and encourage students to engage in their learning experience, prompting them to stay motivated and focused on their tasks. Our ESW's also use Microsoft functions and virtual learning environments to maintain record keeping and communicate with our students.
We need team players who have great communication skills, who enjoy supporting students, who understand reasonable adjustments and who are familiar with accessibility functions.
To apply for this position, you should have a relevant HNC or equivalent qualification and experience or knowledge of supporting students with additional support needs within an educational/training environment. You should be able to work flexibly as part of a team as well as having a working knowledge of MS Office.
