Our client, a nationwide Transportation company is looking for a Data Analyst to join their growing team!

Role: Performance Data Analyst
Contract Type: Interim
Day rate: up to £/day depending on experience
Location: London OR Crawley (hybrid - 3 days per week in office)
As a Data Analyst, you will provide meaningful insights, analysis, and reporting for stakeholders, driving performance improvement through enhanced reporting and key trend analysis. You'll support data projects and help develop systems that leave a legacy of better data insights.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Conduct deep analysis of existing data sets to uncover areas for improvement.
2. Perform statistical analysis on big data to identify trends.
3. Create tools and platforms for data automation.
4. Conduct diagnostic analysis to pinpoint routine performance losses.
5. Enhance the internal reporting suite to improve data quality and efficiency.
6. Simplify complex scenarios and effectively communicate outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
7. Strong understanding of performance analysis in a data-driven environment.
8. Deep knowledge of statistical techniques for forecasting and analysis.
9. Awareness of railway operational performance metrics or high frequency passenger transportation data.
Skills:
10. Degree in Mathematics or Computer Science or equivalent
11. Proficient in Power BI and DAX, with strong knowledge of data modelling.
12. Advanced Excel skills, including analytical techniques.
13. Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and presentations.
14. Proven experience in a senior analytical role.
15. Experience in presenting insights focused on data analysis and trend identification.
16. Familiarity with data reporting tools and systems ensuring quality and accuracy.
