Service Engineer
Rail and Train Equipment
* Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000
* Location: UK-wide travel
* Job Type: Full-time
If you are an experienced engineer or technician with a strong background in electro-mechanical equipment, ideally within the rail sector then this could be a great new role for you. You will ideally have strong technical experience working in in a high reliability industry with experience working on rail and train equipment beneficial. The position involves UK-wide travel and potential international travel to different sites.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Travel throughout the UK to work on rail systems and equipment, with potential occasional international travel.
* Interpret technical documentation and adhere to technical specifications and standards.
* Deliver high-quality customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Work effectively within a team environment as well as independently.
* Liaise with other departments, locations, and customers to ensure cohesive operations.
* Carry out repair, overhaul, and modifications of systems at customer sites.
* Ensure all health and safety and environmental procedures are followed at all times.
* Maintain a high standard of work in line with company quality standards and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* A minimum of 2 years’ recent practical experience in a similar role within the rail or a comparable industry.
* Strong background in working with electro-mechanical equipment.
* Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow strict specifications and standards.
* Highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
* Comfortable working both in a team and independently.
* Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Commitment to ‘Right First Time’ and delivering output efficiently.
* Proficient in writing service reports and documenting work processes.
