Design Manager – Leeds

We’re working with one of the UK’s leading main contractors to recruit a talented and experienced Design Manager to join their growing team in Leeds. With a strong pipeline of commercial, industrial and residential projects across the region, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a business that’s known for delivering complex schemes to the highest standard.
The Role
As Design Manager, you will take ownership of the design process from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll work closely with consultants, architects, and project teams to ensure the timely delivery of design information that meets both buildability and budget requirements.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the design process across multiple live and pre-construction projects
* Coordinating design consultants and internal teams
* Ensuring compliance with planning, building regulations and client specifications
* Driving value engineering and buildability solutions
* Managing technical approvals and change control processes
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Design Manager with a main contractor
* Strong technical background across various construction sectors
* Ability to lead and challenge design teams effectively
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
What’s On Offer:
* Salary between £65,000 – £85,000, depending on experience
