Summary of Position
The Montefiore Administrative Nurse Manager maintains standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses’ Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement. The Administrative Nurse Manager actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center, participates in performance improvement/research activities, maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise, and demonstrates leadership skills. The Administrative Nurse Manager demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served and has a 24-hour responsibility for supervising, scheduling, hiring, firing, and performance appraisal of nursing and ancillary associates. The Administrative Nurse Manager coordinates other activities including inventory management, budgeting, and performance improvement activities to promote efficient and effective operations and quality patient care. The Administrative Nurse Manager demonstrates leadership and clinical expertise in area(s) of responsibility and is responsible for developing and maintaining competence of assigned associates.

* Day shift 12 PM-8 PM Monday-Friday
* Daily hours 7.5 hours
Pay Range
$175,260.70-$219,075.87
Responsibilities
* Maintain nursing practice standards and clinical expertise.
* Supervise, schedule, hire, fire, and conduct performance appraisal of nursing and ancillary associates 24 hours a day.
* Coordinate inventory management, budgeting, and performance improvement activities.
* Actualize the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center.
* Participate in performance improvement/research activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
* Master’s degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance.
* Minimum of two to three years of management experience or progressive leadership experience.
* Minimum of three years of pediatric ASU/PACU experience.
* BLS certification.
* ACLS certification.
* PALS certification.
