About the role To deliver highly individualised, engaging, and multi-sensory learning experiences that support the educational, social, and personal development of learners with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), in alignment with their EHCP outcomes. The ideal PMLD Tuor will be expected to: Design and deliver bespoke, sensory-rich lesson plans tailored to each student’s developmental and communication needs. Incorporate students’ EHCP outcomes into learning plans, setting realistic and meaningful short-term targets. Support and encourage the use of alternative communication methods (e.g. PECS, Makaton, eye gaze, switch technology). Provide a structured, safe, and nurturing tutorial environment including leading AM and PM tutorial sessions for a key group of students. Maintain high-quality and up-to-date records of progress.
