The opportunity
This role will provide the individual with the opportunity to:
1. build external relationships with dealmakers at large-cap PE with strong Industrials and Business Services teams, selected corporates and with other market advisors (bankers, lawyers etc.);
2. develop selected account and relationship management responsibilities;
3. build relationships across EY’s Industrials & Business Services team, the Origination-Key Executive Programme practice and the broader SaT EMEIA firm;
4. develop sector knowledge and Industrials & Business Services deal evaluation and valuation techniques;
5. support the development of thematic pieces and pursuits; and
6. be a key member of an elite, highly experienced team central to helping deliver SaT revenue and growth.

Your key responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading on either the Industrials or Business Services sector, being a central point of contact for deal flow within one of these sectors. You will manage both the short and medium-term sector pipeline by sourcing, investigating and distributing deal intelligence to the SaT Partners. Another essential part of the role involves developing market-leading insight discussion materials on upcoming pipeline targets and sector themes (“pursuits”), then delivering this alongside pursuit team deal experts to PE and corporate clients.
Your responsibilities will involve internal discussions with relevant people from the SaT Service Line and qualitative and quantitative analysis to develop pursuits. You will also be required to form relationships with intermediary advisers to chase leads and gather market intelligence.
You will also have the opportunity to support the wider Origination team where relevant in team management and preparing sector agnostic insights.

To qualify for the role you must have
8. Professional ACA qualification or equivalent A bachelor’s degree 2:1 or above or equivalent Deal execution experience and/or technical background (minimum 5 years) Financial literacy (understanding of integrated financial statements and reporting, modelling skills)
Ideally, you’ll also have
9. Understanding of private equity / private capital Industrials & Business Services sector experience Growing network of contacts in the market (Industrials & Business Services and PE professionals, bankers, lawyers, etc.)
