Project Manager – Wastewater Location: Cumbria (site-based / hybrid) Contract: Outside IR35 Rate: Competitive (DOE) Duration: Initial 6–12 months (extension likely) The Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to work on wastewater infrastructure projects in Cumbria, supporting a major water industry client. The role will involve managing delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities End-to-end project management of wastewater treatment and network projects Managing programme, cost, risk, and change control Coordinating contractors, designers, and client stakeholders Ensuring compliance with health & safety and water industry standards Reporting progress, risks, and forecasts to senior stakeholders Supporting site teams and resolving delivery issues Essential Experience Proven experience as a Project Manager within wastewater / water utilities Strong understanding of WwTW, sewage networks, or AMP projects Experience working for or with UK water companies (e.g. United Utilities) Excellent stakeholder and contractor management skills Ability to work on site in Cumbria Desirable NEC contract experience Engineering or construction background Relevant PM qualifications (APM, PRINCE2, etc.) Why Apply?
