LOCATION - Cirencester
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client specialises in fabrication for a range of industries, and they are looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Cirencester area.
They will consider Graduates for this vacancy too.
The Junior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
* Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment (Not a necessity)
* Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc.
* Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
* Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
* Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations
* Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
The Junior Design Engineer role will involve:
* Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
* Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD
* Liaising with manufacturing providers
* Being involved in final assembly of products
* Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
* Updating 3D models and drawings
* Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
* Checking drawings for sign off
* Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
