Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in the Newport area. The school is seeking a committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team from April/May in a full-time role. About the Role
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping pupils’ academic and personal development during an important stage of their primary journey. You will deliver engaging and creative lessons while fostering a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported and motivated to succeed.
Pay: £172.98 per day
Start Date: April / May
Contract: Full-time

We are seeking a teacher who is:
* A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
* Enthusiastic, engaging, and approachable with a strong classroom presence
* Highly organised with strong planning and time-management abilities
* Passionate about education and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
* Knowledgeable about safeguarding responsibilities
* Skilled in behaviour management and creating positive learning environments
* Experienced with the Primary Curriculum, particularly Key Stage 1

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to Year 2 pupils
* Monitor and support pupils’ academic progress and emotional development
* Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
* Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* An Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* The legal right to work in the UK
