Overview
We require an enthusiastic Locum Consultant Radiologist to join our team of 23 Substantive Consultant Radiologists. The appointee will be primarily based at either Eastbourne DGH or Conquest Hospital in Hastings, although this may change depending on service need.
Responsibilities
* First line on‑call support provided by SpR or staff grade radiologists until 10pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends, with overnight on‑call outsourced to a reporting company.
* Check scans on the following day to ensure quality assurance and provide education on a 1 in 8 rota.
* Provide daytime cover for malignant cord compression MRI at weekends as part of the same 1 in 8 rota.
* Teach four radiology trainees on rotation from the HEKSS deanery and participate in audit and other continuing professional development activities.
* Develop subspecialty areas of interest in addition to core radiology skills and participate in the development of Radiology services.
Qualifications
* High level of clinical experience and competence in General Radiology.
* Full GMC registration.
* Experience in teaching and audit encouraged.
* Capable of working within the described rota and on‑call duties.
