We are currently looking for Service Engineers to join our team. As a Service Engineer, you will deliver high levels of service following the company's established procedures by attending breakdowns, completing regular service calls, installation work, and generating new business recommendations.
You should be able to work on a wide variety of compressed air systems, including screw compressors, and perform technical assessments and appraisals of engineering equipment and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Complete service reports, timesheets, job sheets, and recommendations accurately and on time in accordance with laid down procedures.
2. Promote the company to secure opportunities for additional work.
3. Repair broken-down equipment under emergency call-out schemes.
4. Support system commissioning and training activities.
5. Carry out equipment and system installation work at customer sites.
6. Complete appropriate risk assessments and method statement paperwork before commencing work.
7. Maintain good professional relationships with all existing and new customers.
8. Participate in the Call Out Rota as required.
9. Maintain the company vehicle in accordance with guidelines.
10. Ensure company property is secure and report theft or abuse.
11. Provide feedback on product design features causing maintenance or operational difficulties.
12. Ensure compliance with environmental procedures.
13. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
14. Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
15. Submit expenses according to company policy with detailed documentation.
Skills and Experience
1. Familiarity with compressed air equipment, controls, and maintenance requirements.
2. Professional work approach.
3. Engineering qualification combined with interpersonal, IT skills, and a commitment to customer service.
4. Knowledge of modern servicing and faultfinding techniques.
5. Awareness of electrical/electronic and PLC systems testing and repair.
6. Good communication skills.
Specific Skills / Qualifications
1. Mechanical or electromechanical skills training or apprenticeship.
2. Ability to work with low and high-pressure machines.
3. Experience in a similar role.
4. Ability to obtain site clearance and pass a DBS check.
5. Full clean driving license.
