Primary Purpose:

This role is primarily responsible for
preparing, operating and maintaining the dub stages and associated equipment. The Mix Technician is also
responsible for liaison between the sound department and other areas of the business, including engineering and administration. A clear passion for sound, and experience with working with high-profile content and clients at a similar facility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Be responsible for MCR and sound studio function, working with the Senior Mix Technician to maintain technical and operational standard.
* Assist in the day-to-day operation of the sound studio.
* Efficient operation and responsibility for ongoing projects within the sound department.
* Setting up, testing and operating relevant equipment prior to and during every sound mix.
* Competent operation and maintenance of technical equipment in the studio and MCR.
* Production and Delivery of Audio Deliverables for Feature Film and TV projects.
* Safe IO and archival of media for associated projects.
* Monitor technical quality control.
* Produce daily and weekly time reports for work completed in the studio.
* Liaise with operational, managerial and financial staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
* Assisting the Senior Mix Technician in the training and development of Junior members of the team.
* Be a first point of contact for clients and visitors in any dealings they may have with the Sound Dept. at Twickenham Film Studios.
* Provide exceptional client service when carrying out tasks.
* To answer or redirect general queries from clients.
* Adhere to the Health and Safety policy.
* To assist in other departments as and when necessary.
* Ad hoc tasks as required to ensure the smooth running of Twickenham Film Studios.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

* In-Depth knowledge and experience of Avid Pro Tools.
* Experience of using an AMS Neve DFC console and S6 controllers.
* Experience with Dolby Atmos, 7.1, 5.1 mix formats and audio deliverables.
* Excellent knowledge of current production and post-production sound techniques.
* Computer Literate and experienced using Mac and PC.
* Pro-active and self-motivated, with good organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
* Numerate, with good basic level maths, and able to remain accurate under stress.
* Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with a range of contacts.
* Ability to understand client needs and priorities by questioning in a diplomatic manner.
* To be sensitive to the differing needs of clients and staff.
* Persistence and Determination.
* To be a team player and to work efficiently as part of a team.
* Ability to accept constructive criticism.
* Capacity to remain calm and effective in difficult situations
* Flexible and adaptable to approach to ensure clients' needs are met.
* Able to work within a shift pattern, which also covers evenings and weekends.
