In this role, you will be pivotal in providing support to children, young people, and families within local communities, utilising a comprehensive family-focused approach.
As a Grade 8 Family Support Worker, You Will
1. Conduct one-to-one, group, and outreach work.
2. Deliver direct support to children, young people, parents, and families in their homes and community settings.
3. Convene and participate in Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings and reviews.
4. Utilise relevant case management systems, databases, and business intelligence tools as directed by the team manager.
5. Provide information, advice, and guidance to children, young people, and families.
6. Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, to co-manage cases.
7. Assess parenting skills and enhance physical and emotional caregiving abilities through various practical activities.
8. Offer parenting and behaviour management support to families and children.
9. Stay informed about local service provisions.
10. Coach, mentor, and motivate families to implement and maintain positive changes.
11. Support families during crisis situations.
12. Serve as a link worker between early help services and local schools.
