Job Description

New Directions Education is seeking a passionate and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for a full-time teaching role in a Chester-based primary school with a strong focus on SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to gain meaningful experience in a supportive and inclusive environment, where children with additional needs are at the heart of the school’s ethos.

Job Specification

We recruit Primary Teachers for jobs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher job roles.

As a Primary School Teacher you’ll be expected to:

11. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
12. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
13. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
14. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
15. Maintain discipline
16. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
17. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
18. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
19. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
