With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland.
Role Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas by following established procedures each day set by the Head Chef.
* You'll have a positive mentality and can-do attitude supporting the rest of the Kitchen Team with any tasks as required.
* To work the sections, ensuring that pot-wash standards are dealt with efficiently and to the best of your ability, always insuring the up most cleanliness.
* Display efficient working practices and ensure all the kitchen, utensils, cookware, and crockery are properly cleaned in a timely manner.
* Support the Head Chef with stock taking and storage of stock, including checking deliveries.
* To assist in ensuring a high level of Health Safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed.
* Be aware of COSHH regulations and use of PPE.
* To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
Key Requirements
* Previous experience preferred.
* To be able to work in a fast-paced environment and to enjoy it.
* To be able to work independently, being self-motivated to complete the tasks.
* Flexibility- to enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
