The Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets through a focus on KPI delivery.
* Deliver exceptional market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Offer customers a VIP concierge service, actively contacting them with updates on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not the discount – share your passion for product through in‑depth knowledge of the range.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, continually learning to support your WSET qualification and sales confidence.
* Maintain the physical appearance and upkeep of the store internally and externally.
* Participate in all operational tasks required for day‑day running of the store, including delivery of wine to customers, merchandising stock deliveries, and calling valued customers to drive sales opportunities.
* Identify and propose operational improvements to optimise store efficiency and share ideas with the wider team.
* Ensure compliance, safety and legal standards by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
* Act as an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to the Store Manager as appropriate.
* As a key holder understanding opening and closing compliance and operating the store independently.

* Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever‑changing demands of the business.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Wine knowledge beneficial; passion to learn more to pass level 2 WSET qualifications.
* Full UK manual transmission driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

* Contract: Permanent.
* Hours: 30 hours per week.
* Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
* Driving is essential; comfortable driving company vans. Full UK manual driver’s license required.
